PMD is a Portable Metal Detector for metals with no signs of anomalous corrosion. It is designed to search the Zone for metal items unaffected by destruction. A detector with a broad range of coverage identifies if there is metal nearby. Compared to the detector with a short range of coverage it doesn't show the exact target location but allows to find the boundaries of location area. USER'S MANUAL Equip the PMD and press the "search" button ("E" by default). Pushing the "search" button once will activate the device for a second. If scanning results are positive the detector will beep and give the light signal. The battery life is low, experienced stalkers do not recommend to activate the detector excessively.
