This looking weird artifact -- a star-like lump of caked sand -- was named "Mischief" by stalkers. The anomaly which generated it has not been discovered yet. Harmless at the first sight, it holds energy attracting erythrocytes when released. This causes bleeding of even uninjured organism. Basilisks are the only ones resistant to the Mischief. Scientists say this is because erythrocytes are replaced by copper in their blood. Negative effect: bleeding.
